ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI - JUNE 2021 UPDATE
In August 2020, Missionary JJ Lambeth contacted us about translating our book Walking Ancient Paths - Gleanings from the Holy Land into Portuguese. Os Caminhos Antigos - Um Vislumbre da Terra Santa was completed in June 2021 and we pray that it will be a blessing to many Brazilians.
ST. CHARLES, MISSOURI - MAY 2021 UPDATE
Our ministry continues primarily in Missouri during this season. We are teaching home Bible studies, helping with music, prayer, and teaching at Bethel Pentecostal Church in St. Peters. We have also ministered in Elsberry and Mexico. Sylvia is focusing on a new book project: The Quest for Rest - Finding Calm in a Chaotic World.
Sylvia's Aunt Jeanie passed away from Covid-19 August 26, 2020. The world lost a treasure that day. Sylvia was asked to write an article about Jeanie for Reflections Magazine, which was published in the March-April 2021 issue. (Sadly, Jeanie's husband Jerry also passed away, unexpectedly. We attended his funeral in Pine Bluff, Arkansas in May.) The Reflections article is entitled "God, Family, and Mothers Memorial Baskets."
On April 16, 2021, the Pentecostal Publishing House blog featured an article entitled "Beautiful in God's Sight: What Does the Bible Say about Modesty?" This article spotlighted our book Mirror Image - Beautiful in God's Sight. To read the article, click HERE.
ST CHARLES, MISSOURI - FEBRUARY 2021 UPDATE
On February 3, 2021, the Pentecostal Publishing House blog featured an article entitled "Hope In God: Learn How to Talk to Your Soul." The article was originally published in Sylvia's January 2021 Under the Olive Tree monthly email newsletter. To read the article, click HERE.
This month, Brother Ferrin flew to Fresno, California and ministered to Pinedale Tabernacle.
ST CHARLES, MISSOURI - NOVEMBER 2020 UPDATE
The last eight months have seen us mostly stationary in St. Charles. While here, we have helped as we can at our home church, Bethel Pentecostal Church, with music, prayer, and leading services.
Sister Ferrin taught Exploring God's Word, a 12-week Bible study, to a young lady, mostly over the phone, and is now teaching her Finally Free. She also did some volunteer proofreading for a first-time author.
We have ministered out only sporadically, in Mexico and Elsberry, Missouri. We are thankful to report that several people received the Holy Ghost in Elsberry! In April, Brother Ferrin taught a men's group via phone (Zoom) and in August he flew to North Dakota for week of ministry. While there, Pastor Bob Simons featured Brother Ferrin and his music CD "The Captain" on his radio show Tell it Like it Is.
We are thankful for the ministry opportunities we've had but Covid certainly abruptly changed our schedule!
ST CHARLES, MISSOURI MARCH 2020 - UNTIL
We drove our motorhome and Toyota FJ Cruiser separately to St. Charles. We took a southerly route through Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, and Oklahoma. It was a 2,000-mile, five-day-plus trip. We are thankful for God's protection and also for good weather. Other than some really strong winds, we did not encounter any treacherous weather.
Due to Covid, all of our ministry appointments cancelled. We, like most all other evangelists and AIMers, are playing the waiting game. Many churches have cancelled services or decreased the number of services they have per week. To help protect people from exposure to Covid, churches have reduced or temporarily eliminated the ministry of guest speakers.

We are thankful to IBC Perspectives Magazine for featuring Mirror Image in the February 2020 edition. You can read the interview here: https://ibcperspectives.com/2020/02/apostolic-ministry-mirror-image/. Apostolic Information Service featured the same interview in their newsletter.
CLOVIS, CALIFORNIA 02/07/20 - 03/02/20
Tabernaculo Clovis is a little like visiting a foreign country. Once you step through the doors of the church, bi-lingual prayers greet you, most of the singing is in Spanish, and the preaching is translated. There are usually people in attendance who speak little or no English. Much of the singing has a Latino beat and cadence.
We love this church! We were several weeks into a revival with these precious people when we felt it necessary to go to St. Louis to help Brother Ferrin's mother with some health concerns. The town of Clovis is known as "The Gateway to the Sierras" but we could call Tabernaculo Clovis "The Gateway to God." God was drawing backsliders and we pray that this drawing will continue!
Pastor and Sister Sosa are wonderful, kind, sincere people. They work hard and are leading the iglesia in the right direction. It is our privilege to know them and we pray God's blessings upon them and the precious saints of Tabernaculo Clovis!
ONTARIO, CALIFORNIA 01/20/20 - 02/06/20
We cannot say enough good about Pastor and Sister Clark and Truth Church. This church, located on the outskirts of Los Angeles, is truly a lighthouse not just in word but in deed. The best term to use to describe the services we enjoyed with this church is "deep" and I do not use that word loosely. The presence of the Lord could be sensed in a deep way as we prayed and worshipped together. Prayer and consecration were primary themes of the services. We rejoice with Sid, who received the Holy Ghost. God drew several backsliders to Himself. Truly, the services were so remarkable that they will linger in our memories for a long time. May God continue to bless Truth Church in great ways!
SANTA CLARITA, CALIFORNIA 01/10/20 - 01/20/20
After returning from St. Louis and spending some time in Fresno, we ministered in Santa Clarita, a beautiful city on the outskirts of Los Angeles. Jesse and Gynifer DeAro started this work 12 years ago. All four of their teenage and early adult children work alongside them. Brother Isaac did a great job of translating Brother Ferrin's messages from English into Spanish for those who speak little English. The Lord ministered to people and met needs. Wherever we go, we see a hunger for God. When people reach to God, He reaches back to them!
While in Santa Clarita, we took a day and visited Azusa Street, the Bonnie Brae House, and Arroyo Seco. If you are unfamiliar with the significance of these places, read our blog entries at www.sylviaferrin.blogspot.com.
